The Empakaai Crater is a stunning volcanic caldera nestled within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in Tanzania. Characterized by its vast expanse and pristine, turquoise alkaline lake at its center, the crater spans approximately 6.4 kilometers in diameter.
Largely untouched by mass tourism, Empakaai offers a serene and less crowded alternative to its more famous neighbor, the Ngorongoro Crater.
